Q1: What is SST Sensing’s LuminOx Sensor?
A: The LuminOx™ series is a range of factory-calibrated oxygen sensors designed to measure the partial pressure of oxygen (ppO2) using the luminescence quenching principle.
These sensors each have an internal sensor for temperature and barometric pressure compensation.
Q2: Can SST Sensing liquid level switches be submerged?
A: Most optical level switches are not designed to be completely submerged in liquid; however, SST Sensing’s POS range can be immersed in water. POS switches with integrated cables are sealed to IP68, and the M12 connector version is sealed to IP67.
Q3: Do the SST Sensing sensors need to be calibrated after installation?
A: SST Sensing recommends that the customer performs zero point calibration once the instrument is installed in the final instrument since installation can involve soldering, drilling, and other operations around the sensor that may deposit dust/dirt/particulates on the gold optical reflective surface of the sensor, changing the Zero Point.
